FOX INDIA YANKEE cleared for takeoff! By Loïc Carlier This book is an autobiography written by a pilot who dedicated his life to aeronautics for more than half a century, from 1950 to 2006. Loic Carlier took part in the rebirth of the Light Civil Aviation, from the end of the last war. He took part in many national and international competitions, which allowed him to follow the evolution of French equipment as well as pilots, both private and professional. In this collection of memories, the author especially wanted to transmit the pleasure and the intense emotions he felt throughout these years. The author: Coming from a modest family, fatherless at the age of five, Loïc Carlier was lucky enough to be raised by a demanding mother who took care of his training. A pharmacist as a scholarship holder, long years of piano playing, Loïc Carlier also had a propensity to escape and to dream, which led him to develop a passion for the sky and aviation from childhood, with fifty-six years of licences, including IFR, and a very varied career in the discipline: president of a major flying club in western Paris, organiser of aerial events, involved in humanitarian work, etc. until the wise decision to stop flying as a pilot in 2006, a decision he says he "never regretted". Medal of Youth and Sports (1976), Diploma Paul Tissandier (F.A.I.)1981, Medal of Aeronautics 2011).
