Maintaining, deepening the knowledge of the private pilot

You are a private pilot and you use a passenger aircraft for your leisure or business trips. The passage of your pilot's licence is in fact only an intermediate stage in the learning of the knowledge that you will put into practice during each of your flights; it needs to be maintained and deepened throughout your life as a pilot, if only because of the technological evolution of the aircraft that you will fly and that of their equipment.

You are an instructor or manager and you wish to give your students or members of your flying club the most complete information possible on regulatory, technical or practical points which are rarely, if ever, addressed, both in initial training and later.

Due to the numerous questions and topics covered in this book, reading it will allow everyone to find the answers to the many questions often put aside by pilots; the reader will thus be able to engage in a process of personal reflection, the main objective of which is to help him/her adapt to the many situations that he/she is likely to encounter before or during the flight.

A teacher by training and profession, Stéphane MAYJONADE has been a member of the Béarn flying club for many years. Always anxious to deepen his knowledge, he is also holder of the certificates of the former PL, OMN and IMN theoretical. In charge of aeronautical teaching workshops, he collaborated for several years with a training institute where he taught navigation.
