THUNDERSTORMS EXPLAINED

The author thought it would be useful to write a companion book to The Weather eXplified to give more details on the formation of thunderstorms from conditionally unstable air masses. While it is not always possible to predict when and where a thunderstorm may develop in the world, it is possible to envisage, in the short term, by taking into account certain elements gathered from the atmosphere, that the arrival of an agitated air mass is about to manifest itself. The invention of radar has made it possible to discover, in the distance, clouds and dangers of all kinds that threaten populations. Today, thanks to even more modern equipment and highly skilled forecasters, it is possible to warn the world of the arrival of imminent danger from afar. In spite of these asserted advances, it is still possible to find, in some parts of the world, equipment which appears outdated, out of fashion, but which provides useful observation data and makes it possible to forecast the weather by drawing maps and meteorological emagrams. This book will teach you how to read and draw curves and soundings from balloons released into the atmosphere from the ground. In general, we only know about the many phenomena that occur at the level of clouds, but what happens up there? You will discover the existence of Leprechauns that occur from the top of the Cumulonimbus to the upper atmosphere. This atmosphere is a wonderful environment, full of surprises, where something important always happens, events more or less happy. Fascinating adventures exist in an unknown world above us...
