SAINT-EXUPÉRY, HIS FIGHTS BY BERNARD BACQUIE

€25,00

SAINT-EXUPÉRY, SES COMBATS (9782953450798) TRIAL Format: 21.5 x 17.5 cm 192 pages (with 250 illustrations) In the continuation of his previous volumes, Bernard Bacquié reinforces the specialization of Éditions Latérales in the production of luxury works, with content resulting from meticulous research. Here he presents some forty previously unpublished photos of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, among the 107 reproduced, as well as dozens of other documents never published before, such as the reports of the mechanic of his raids, André Prévot, or those from the National Archives, which provide a better understanding of his eviction from l'Aéropostale, his futile struggles to become a pilot at Air France, and his bitter accidents in Simoun. But also the archives of the Allied Armies, long classified as 'Top Secret', in direct relation with his disappearance. Thanks to the detailed analysis of the logbook of his reconnaissance group, all his war flights are dissected, until the fateful mission of 31 July 1944.
