This book is not an observation or even an essay on the history of air transport. It is a collection of personal recollections and anecdotes from the inside, in which the reader will find answers to what intrigued him or her. For example, why were ten French cities linked to New York by direct flights for a year? What about the death of major airlines such as Pan American, TWA or Swissair? How did Roissy airport, which is used by more than 60 million passengers every year, evolve? Why did it take Air France's directors 25 years before they decided to make Charles de Gaulle a real hub?
