The Computer eXplicated to the Pilot

€16,67

Preparing for navigation is often perceived as a tedious and thankless task. As a result, it is unfortunately often neglected, to the detriment of safety, especially if you have a very well equipped aircraft. The computer makes it possible to solve very quickly all the traditional problems of navigation, determination of the drift and ground speed, determination of the flight times, of the consumptions... It allows to keep the preparation of navigation its exciting character by facilitating the establishment of different scenarios that will be, when the day comes, chosen according to the flight conditions encountered (airfields for refueling, stopover ...). In the training programme for all private pilots, as defined by the decree of 20 August 1999, the computer is, however, rarely taught in France, unlike in Anglo-Saxon countries.
