This book presents, as objectively as possible, the problem of airport noise pollution. It sets out a number of scientific, technical, legal and political facts. It also indicates some strategies that can be used to limit the noise pollution associated with the operation of airport platforms. Nearly 1 400 airlines operate more than 25 000 aircraft worldwide, carrying 3.3 billion passengers annually from 3 900 airports in airspace managed by 173 navigation services.
